I was blessed to have known Philomena in Germany while attending High School in Wiesbaden. She had such a kindness and a brightness about her. Always laughing and smiling. I kept track of her through the years through my brother Mark Swarny who kept in touch with Phil. I was looking forward to meeting up with her one day at a reunion after having found her on facebook. But time gets away from us and reminds us to do things now and not put them off. My heart goes out to her daughters and to your whole family. May you find some peace knowing how much Phil was loved by all who knew her!!

It has been a privilege to have our children at Sacred Heart with Mrs. McWIlliams. Her kind spirit was evident to everyone who came in contact with her. She has left her mark on the hearts of many, many children and her memory will live on in all of them and their parents who were blessed enough to know her.

I worked with Phil at Sacred Heart School in 2005/6. She was always happy and so helpful to Caroline and their Kindergarteners and to me as a new teacher--especially with the laminator! Caroline, I wish I could give you a big hug right now. I was so impressed when I saw on Facebook that Phil persevered with her dream of becoming a teacher. What an incredible woman! Our loss is heavens gain. We have such fond memories of the Sacred Heart community and Phil will always exemplify the love and warm welcome that we felt while living in Warner Robins. Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones and the entire Sacred Heart Family.

It was my pleasure and joy to have known and worked with Phil for many years at Sacred Heart School. Phil worked so hard to make the kids in her class feel special and was a daily blessing to you, Caroline. I knew that Phil wouldn't stop until she achieved her goal of being the classroom teacher, and she achieved that goal! I just recently told her how proud I was that she achieved her dream! Phil is missed by so many friends, students, and co-workers, past and present. While our faith assures us she is in a better place, it doesn't lessen the sadness that we feel at this time. My heart breaks for Phil's family, and I pray that all of you will take comfort in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many people. May God Bless and give you strength to face the road that lies ahead.

I met Phil in high school in Weisbaden, Germany. I had the opportunity to reunite with her again several years ago over a weekend with Caroline and a few other classmates. She still had the best smile and the warmest heart. I was so very blessed to have shared friendship with her. My prayers will always include safe journey for her soul and for her daughters and family. May memories of her and God's love bring you all comfort.

I met Philomena around 1983/1984, when my family moved to Wiesbaden, Germany. Feeling lost in a new country, it was Phil, her sister Caroline and her parents, Nellie and Charlie who embraced me and made me feel like one of their family members. I have such fond memories of high school with Phil. She was a tough cookie, but always kind hearted and warm. I will forever remember her bright smile and wonderful spirit. I am deeply saddened that she is gone and hope that her family and especially her beautiful girls, take comfort in knowing that she was loved and adored by so many people.

I am honored to say I had the opportunity to know Philomena. She was a wonderful person and student. My heart is saddened by her earthly departure, but I know to be absent from the flesh is to be present with the Lord. To her family, I pray you can find comfort in God's loving arms during this difficult time. She often talked about her love for her family. She was so proud of her daughters and was so appreciative of her parents' ongoing support. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Philomena was one of the shining stars in the Middle Georgia State College School of Education Fall 2015 Cohort. Her dedication to complete the program and receive her degree with obstacles of being a non-traditional student, with three children and holding down a full time job, was an inspiration to her fellow cohort members as well as the faculty and staff. Our heart felt sympathy to all of you during this time.
